I ordered a few chicks for $50 each from unionhill ranch

They're worth that but I can't afford it. I'm keeping my eyes open for some I can afford.

....This is my line of birds....also pictured is my first Mottled Ameraucana chick to hatch......Projects...there a lot of work. they are about 10 hrs. old.

They are near San Diego, CA and have a few rare breeds.

French Lavender Marans are only $20 for straight run chicks and $30 for a 3-4 week pullet!

The best way to advance your project is to breed back to BCM. or Black marans depending on what you end goal is. This is not an easy project to start from scratch. I have some 3rd or 4th generation and they still need a lot of work.
