Leann's "Adopt Me" Bargain from Myer Hatchery

I got leann adopt me bargin on Oct 15 got alot different breeds chickens/bantams no turkeys lost about 5 but the rest nice and healthy and getting big. I got brown and white leghorns,EE,BLRW, sebrights,bantam polish and blue ee bantam etc.I am very happy with my order.

Oh, that sounds great. Thank you for the info. The less that are lost, the better. My kids will get upset but realize it can't be helped. I really like the idea of an assortment. And turkeys would be ok too as long as I didn't have to process them.

I had to cancel an order with Ideal, my preferred hatchery, due to family stuff earlier this year. When I went back to place my order Ideal was out of a lot of the bird breeds I wanted — until next spring. So I threw caution to the wind and ordered Meyer Hatchery's Leann's "Adopt Me" Bargain St. Run (20), as well as their Assorted Rare Females (30)... I just realized typing that, hmm I won't really know which is from which assortment, lol. Oh well. I figured it could be fun and I'll sell off or cull the birds I don't want to add to my flock. This is my first time ordering from Meyer and I have heard mixed things about their birds. If anyone has ordered either the Adopt Me or the Assorted Rare Female from Meyer Hatchery, can you please post what you received? I'll post what i receive here, when the birds arrive —Just for the heck of it.

They are supposed to be straight run, late hatches left in the bins when cleaned out. I think they are because they have assortments to get rid of other leftover chicks after orders are pulled. You can even get standard bronze poults in a rare assortment of turkeys and real Ameraucana chicks if you are patient. If they don't carry what you want, they will try to add it as soon as they can. Good luck with them so far.

My Meyer Hatchery "LeAnn's Adopt Me" Assortment (20 birds) arrives next week—from the June 3rd hatch. I'm really excited to see what I get! I'm open to anything, of course, but my wish list would include anything penciled or spangled, turkey poults would be awesome, anything crested or unusual would be cool. Fingers crossed. I'm hoping not to get bantams or naked necks (I know people love them, but I'm not partial to their look), or too many white birds as predators around here can be hard on them. I'm really excited about this, like elementary school kid excited. Squee!! I will post photos.

Sorry for the delay - I've been trying to figure out what all I received. I had quite a few losses
but a few of the birds are shown below - No idea what the top photo is -

I received 2 of these and they have started growing crests n the top of their heads. They also have feathered feet.


These are Delawares, I received 5 of these, friendly chicks


These are Bantam Mottled Cochin (I think) enormous feathers on their feet, very friendly


These are partridge Penedesencas, I received 5 of these


203 week Partridge Rock I received 3 of these


Bantam Black Cochin 203 weeks - I received one


At 2-3 weeks - the Penedesencas, and the Bantam mottled cochins
