According to google Ringneck pheasants only have a two year or less lifespan. I recently acquired a Ringneck pheasant and it lives in a clean aviary. Is its lifespan still two years or is it longer since it is protected from predators and hunters?

That's the life span for 'wild' pheasants....like most wild gamebirds, their life spans are horrific.
In captivity, their life spans are capable of being 15 to 20 years....if no disease's or predators get them....I have a few ringnecked and other ornamental pheasants that are 15 and 18 years old, I will add that they are males....my hens don't seem to have a very long life span. The oldest hens I have are 7 and 8 years old.
