looking for opinions on breeds

I have several breeds but the Black Australorp is my favorite by far. When we go out to the coop they run to us and want to be loved on, one little hen jumps into my husband arms trying to be held, they are very sweet. We had a rooster that did not like my husband but I didn't have any trouble with him. They are beautiful hens.

Not as common, but I like my Delaware. She lays about 4-5 eggs a week and is very sweet! They are also a heritage breed so that is cool.

I would suggest New Hampshires, Orpingtons, Wyandottes, and possibly Plymouth Rock. Do you like clean legged or feather-legged/ -footed better? Feathers on legs are helpful to chickens in cold areas so I might also suggest the Brahma.

The New Hampshire Reds, White Wyandottes, Australorps and Barred Rocks we have handle the New England weather just fine. Even the weekend of the February 2013 blizzard we received a bunch of eggs. I would have to say that the NH Reds are the bossiest of the group.
