Meatie Experiment: FF 'vs' Crumbles

I am on my second batch of Cornish cross chicks right now, and have been feeding fermented feed both times. I thought the first batch tasted fantastic! Have prepared them a variety of ways, including roasting and frying without noticing any strange favors as reported by others. I would encourage folks to give it a try, as the birds just seem healthier once eating the fermenting feed. They drink less water and poops are more normal.

bruce-- very tempting!! TEll me about the rangers-- how meatie are they?? If cornish X is worthy of the freezer in 8-10 weeks, and std fowl at 6 months, how long for the rangers. DO you have apick of a dressed bird by chance????

Abby dog-- Mine had good flavor, but I"ll not do them again. I too like that they "drank" when they ate the FF. Given the amount of feed they stuff in, seems a good wayto feed them. JMO>

I have done FF & dry feed. Will not do meaties dry again.

To much waste, water use, and poop. I do mine in a coop with a very large run.

For those who dry feed, or FF & have coop & run, LAB is an absolute must for the coop & feeder locations in the run.
