If it is 4 months old then it is probably a hen. Silkie hens from hatcheries tend to have larger combs then those from show-quality lines.

"She" was from a private breeder.. not sure if that makes much difference in sexing.
She does go sit in the nest with another hen most every day when that hen goes in to lay.
Hoping her penciled feathers stay that way. They are pretty

I've had my silkies for about 4 months. I have only one partridge, and she is sizzled. Her name is Charlie and she's everyone's favorite.




Charlie is noisy but she's super cuddly and friendly.

Genetically it is a partridge, yes. Whether or not people in the silkie show world would say so is something completely different. However, I think she is lovely. : )
