Pekin Vs Call Duck

Hi all just wondering as a first time owner looking for 2 very affectionate companionship ducks weather call ducks or pekin ducks would be a better suit

i never had calls but i have pekins . in my experience , ducks in general don’t like to be picked up, but I do see some people have trained them from the get-go to be more friendly and cuddle with people that they are bonded to.
out of all my ducks, my runners are the friendliest.

if you’re new to ducks, I would recommend Pekin to start. They are heartier, less flighty. But it really depends on your setup and overall goals
