Also keep in mind there are two varieties of the Salmon Faverolle according to my readings anyway. There are Clear Salmon Faverolles and German Salmon Faverolles. Germans have the dark shoulders.

I remember that because I posted that initial thread many moons ago on my first profile before I took a break from poultry and forgot my login information.

So the German line has the red saddle back and darker distinct plumage?
And Clear version has no red saddle?

Isn't the salmon coloring more important than trying to import other colors into the mix? I noticed there's varying shades of the salmon color for the breed.

His mom came from Meyer and his dad was a egg from My pet chicken.

Haha well he is beautiful! This is the hen I have for Karen. I don't think she's a very good specimen but she is hilarious to look at. Her name is Brenda and she is certainly special lol

Brenda's muffs are fantastic! She is a little dark overall. Select for the lighter colored pullets when breeding.
