Roosting bar height

I built a chicken coop. My chicks are ready to go in in about 4 weeks my wife said the roosting bars are 2 low. I have them set even with the nesting boxes . Is this to low or should I make them higher. Or will the chickens roost in the edge of the nesting boxes . Please let me know the prior height ?

your wife is right, the roosting bars need to be higher than the nest boxes or they will sit and **** in the nest boxes rather than on the perch. however if they are young then they may need a chook ladder to get up ( especially if they are flightless)
