Jeez, chickens are expensive there!! Maybe its because we are both in grade school still or something like that. or maybe chickens are just really cheap out here. dang! I couldnt afford them for that much.

She isn't a well known breeder, at least I don't think so. I don't what to give her name online without her permission. In case your wondering what area, California.

Serama are too small to be kept with standards of any breed. My serama cock is at the large end of standard and he weighs only 15 ounces! That's less than a pound. I've had pet rats heavier than my serama.

You will need a separate pen to keep them safe, and they need to be brooded indoors. They are very, very fragile as chicks. Super fragile. Imagine the smallest baby chicken you can think of. Now make it smaller. They are so tiny and so, so delicate.

These guys are not a beginner breed, they're not little toys. Please read the serama thread. I know it's "long" but if you read a few pages a day you'll find it goes quite quickly. I am concerned you are not ready to own these fragile precious birds based on this thread.

$10 per chick who has grand champion blood would be a bit more expensive than that.. You might want to ask her a few questions on like how long she's been breeding and if you could see some pictures of where you would be getting the chicks from and what the parents look like.. Love your polish by the way.. I'ma sucker for polishes

she is actually molting in the pictures that i took today. most of mine are.
Im thinking of finding a way to raise them indoors, and then move them outside once they are big enough. My dad thinks a large dog pen with a small coop inside would be perfect for them. it doesn't get very cold where i live and snow is extremely rare. we are lucky if we get a dusting. If i clear out my dresser somehow ill have a nice space for them. plus is had a plug in the back for a lamp, Ill take a picture of the area and see what you guys think. NOT the outdoor area, just the indoor one, my parents are not a fan of them in the house tho.
