it's all hearsay but yes. Some say they should always be straight comb pearl yellow leg but there's also a story about him (Lloyd miner) breaking off another sect of his miners that were crossed with stuff and that's where the pea comb come from. And each story people are insisting their version is the true one. So believe what you will but I know the splash are some cutting sob's

The straight comb yellow or white leg Miners are very hard to find and when you do the owners don't sell or trade.

I met an older breeder that said he used to drive out and visit with Mr. Miner. He was curious about the Miners I have from SDM, so I shared what I knew. The gentleman kindly stated in his visits with Mr. Miner, he did not recall seeing a pea combed fowl on the place. I didn't read anything into it simply that he did not see them...

I have heard that there was a family of black fowl bred in the pea combs, but everything is all hear say. I know a couple of guys that own the yellow leg Miners, they want sell or trade a feather from one of them.
