One thing I have noticed this season that I missed last season is all the young males' chest feathers start turning black. I have been easily identifying all the boys from the girls this way, instead of waiting for the saddle feathers to start growing.

As for the blacks I'm still clueless lol

Little bluegills and crappie put up a good fight on small rods. Sure are pretty things.
Hooked 3 bass and lost all 3 of em due to being overconfident.
