I just had a fish break 65lb braided line with 55lb mono leader. Big f*cked said not tonight. I got 3good pulls on him and it felt like I was fighting a bull

Did he break the mono leader? Why not just run the braid straight to the hook?

For the record I did know how to use the emojis. I’m not dumb ya know. There’s only 2 of us that I know of that live in the north!
I just play dumb to get along with the rest of these miscreants.

Yea he broke the mono. The mono flexes better then braid and if I ever get hung up I loose a 3dollar hook and not a 15dollar setup. Plus I use circle hooks and it's better to use a Snell knot and you can't properly Snell a hook with main line
