Silkie thread!

So I've found it funny that my silkie crosses seem to have inherited mostly just the silkie mentality. Even though they have normal feathers, they don't fly

Silkies are the best mamas. Hubby picked up 4 hatchery "ameraucana" chicks for me today. One of my very reliable old biddies has been broody with a crony. Very good hen that takes chicks at any time so no need to sneek.

In Oregon? My brother lives out there. We got to go visit for his wedding last year. That was an awesome experience! It's a neat place!

That's awesome I always have my silkies be the mom so my full sized birds... I personally feel like it helps with the peace.. bunny my white silkie still sits on her two Americana and one standard cochin baby's who are adults laying eggs. nobody messes with there mom.. lol

Thanks. The one on the right is all ratty and needs to molt, but she's a light partridge. The fluffy one on the left and in the close up is what happens when partridge is carrying two copies of lavender.

Some of my babies. They are in the process of being cleaned out so not real happy lol Can’t wait for them to start proofing up more.
