Basically she thinks it is crazy--entirely different genetic recipes for males and females.

Most of the time (if not always) I agree with Sigrid (she have a very excellent brain working).
I not know for US but in EU when you want to breed multiple laced colorations you need a male line and a female line.
The Pg pattern express only on females, the males are completely different. So you need to breed with "bad" colored males to become good colored females and visa versa.
