How did everyone fair in the storm of last evening?
I was greeted this morning my down tree branches and a rubber roof in the middle of a rural intersection near my house. So we were fairly unscathed.
I understand some people were taking there back to school pictures in the dark without power. I guess that is one way to have a memorable back to school!
I should have looked on here first thing this morning! Going to try right now...Rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer cleans bluekote right up. (Ask my face how I know)
I raised turkeys for a few years, before DH finally said, "No more!". They were great fun! They would follow me everywhere - even when I went for a walk. Fortunately, at the time, we lived on a dirt road that was only used by the school bus and the mailman most of the year. (Hunting season was a different story, but that was only for a couple of months.) But, they all had the same bad habit. You know how turkeys like bright, shiny things? Well, DH is a farmer, and has always worked on his own machinery. When he takes something apart, he lays all the parts out in the order in which he took them off the equipent. The turkeys would grab the parts and run off with them. DH was not amused.I think everyone on this thread needs and deserves a turkey hen...
They are so sweet and luvable, quiet and innocent appearing... as such I will give each of you a hen do you can discover the joy of turkeys....
