Back in the 70s we had a CB radio and my "handle" was Calico Blue, because of quilting and then in the 90's I hosted a quilting chat room on AOL with CalicoBlue as my screen name. Most folks call me Blue, or Blooie, and have for years, so it was an easy choice for BYC too.

How come two sentences is harder than two paragraphs?

I always have a hard time shortening things. Especially essays. *Sigh*

Frindizzle is the name of one of my chickens. Our farm was named after her, and she was a really sweet thing. She sadly died in July of this year.

Hope it is okay to share a picture of her.

I started keeping chickens to help us out and cheer us up when the recession was killing us, bills were burying us, and my parents were persecuting us for being failures... and I thought, 'But we are good eggs.. all three of us.'
so there.

"You have perfect plumage.."
