The 7th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-A-Long!

I've heard of some local fires started by heat lamps as well, it's pretty scary.
Mine will probably end up in the garage, I'm hoping it's not too cold for them. But if I do have any early hatchers I might give them to my broody who has been sitting for over three weeks.
Invest in a Brooder plate. A brooder plate that will cover the same number of chicks is about $10.00 more than a heating pad. The plate will last for years and is more sanitary.

Dare I say that the heating pad cave is a fad?

Sorry, just what I think about them.

The $37.00 dollar plate. These are not as expensive as the Brinsea and are built better.

I like my plates too, easy and use far less power. I'm all for things that don't hit you in the pocket quite so hard.
I do have the Brinsea ones though.

Yes!!! I have a pip on one egg of each of the Jubilee Orps, Bielefelders, & Swedish Flower Hens!!!

A couple of the Wheaten AM's & Silkies are making a little more progress, but no zipping yet... Come on chickies!!!

I have the Premier small heating plate and 2 heating pads. I like all of them, but for the price, the heating pad is the way to go. I just got my new pad in. It's twice as big as the small Premier and with everything it takes to make it, came to less than $25. I also like the fact that you can adjust the heat on the pads. My Premier has one temperature, which is one of it's downfalls along with the price.

That is one of the things I like about BYC. There are so many ways to do something, that you are bound to find one that works for you.

I'll have to look into one of those, thanks!

No pips or rocking for me yet. At least not before I left for work today. But it's only Thursday, they're not due until Saturday (and 2 of them for Sunday, I think).

No pips or movement from my eggs but it's only day 19. I have to work tomorrow so will be gone from 230pm-130am. Hopefully they don't hatch while I'm away
