Pictures of random body parts really doesn't help. A full body shot, that shows the details of the feathers really well is what is needed. Also, knowing how old a bird is, is key.

They don't seem random, as we look at comb, tail, saddle feathers, etc; I agree a full body shot is helpful, though.

I should also mention none of them have nice flat long tail feathers like pullets.
They are also a bit more aggressive then most chicjs I have EVER had.

Hey all this is our 10 week old Americana shulie. We got her as a pullet and she seems like one except she has a red comb. When comparing hee to our 12 week old cockerel though there is a marked difference in comb size. Not sure if she's a sneaky rooster or a very red combed hen. ( We had a Wyandotte hen whose comb was red from 4 weeks up until pol)
