That Auggie is a hoot. He was then and is now just the best little 100 pound dog. Very protective of me. Even towards my other dogs. Spec was actually a girl. She got her name from a freckle on her butt that I thought was pooh and quickly realized it was a freckle not a Spec. So she became Spec. Yertle's mommy. Yertle and his 1/2 brother Fuzzy are my last of the flatback low rider pure German lines I have.
This was the dog that got me hooked. I had a friend 20 years ago who sworn on the GSD as the best all around dog. And did some research. And really liked this look. Almost Wolf like.

Beowulf was a second generation GSD that Max made at the turn of last century
Sorta brings tears to my eyes lookin at this gorgeous beast
