SL still has not layed.....and now she's molting............




Her comb and wattles are haven't even turned red yet. Otherwise seams alert and healthy.

The gals are looking fat and sassy.

Well I am joining you in the wait. I too have a SLW from someone else that is taking her own sweet time...come on already...

I have officially given up on seeing her with red comb and wattles til spring. Why do they wait for cold weather to molt fer cryin' out loud! I hope she doesn't do a hard molt like I've seen some other chickens do.

I'm pretty sure my SLW cockerel just laid an egg.

This morning when I went out, he/she was on the nest box. I did my morning cleanup/ feed then went to get my phone to take a picture and when I came back, florentine was checking out an egg. I was told in another thread this was not a pullet, but are we SURE this is a rooster?

I'm so happy I won't have to get rid of him/her. It's going to be a change now learning to call her her instead of him again.
