Born in 1981, in the 80's when Spina Bifida was the number one birth defect in the country, and the awareness was practically Nill. He was a true pioneer going through surgeries to help him along.

We stopped counting when we hit the mid 30's of surgeries. He's probably over a 100 by now.

Walked with a walker first, then the arm crutches, then a wheelchair.

He knew how to have fun. At the zoo. :)

Loves the Holidays.

Litter stinker spraying his cousin in the face, he thought it was funny, not so sure about the cousin! :p

Today, he does a lot of youtube stuff. He helped Lindsey Sterling when she started out with her ads on youtube. She's doing well now. Has a CD of her own, and has a lot of touring going on.

Those were awesome.. Ok, just had an awesome idea of a pumpkin carved with a chicken with a nest of tiny "egg" pumpkins or maybe chicks. Hmm...

I lost my first baby to spina bifida in 1978. I didn't know there was that much of it.
Oh my goodness..I'm so sorry!

Yes, it was the number one birth defect back then. One baby an hr. born with it. That had to be so hard. I never had a sonogram so I didn't even know I was having a baby with a problem. Just had him whisked off to surgery.
