WEIRD TOP TORN VENT???

Once you clean it all up, using honey or a triple antibiotic ointment, plain neosporin, or even vaseline on the injured part will help keep it moist which will help healing, it will also help keep droppings from sticking so it's easier to clean her up. I would reapply the ointment often so that it stays covered with it and doesn't dry out. Once it's healed up you will have a better idea if it's going to be a long term issue or not. I would also make sure that other birds are not attracted to that area and peck at it, which will just make it worse. They often will see a wound and peck at it. If that is an issue you can put her in a wire crate where they can see her and she can see them, but no one can peck at her and cause more damage. That is usually less stressful than being separated completely. You do need to watch for flystrike, flies can find droppings build up or injury around the vent, lay eggs in it, the eggs hatch and maggots will feed on the live bird. That is a serious issue, so prevention is important. If you have a lot of flies around it may be better to move her to a place where they can't get at her until it's healed. Once it's healed up, that will be less of a worry.
