What Bantam breed(s) should I get?

I found a lady in NJ who has eggs. I have family near her so I can time it to get eggs when they are driving up to visit, and not have to worry about shipping!

My LF chickens don’t like snow either. The run is covered so as long as snow doesn’t blow in they will come out. If it does blow in, they wait for me to clear the ramp and perches off, and throw straw or leaves on top and then they will happily relax outside the coop. They are spoiled! 😂

Most my additions this year will be bantams, so following along to hear more. I’ve got Cochin and Brahmas ordered, as well as D’Uccles. I’ll have to see if I had anything else, too many chickies lately 😅 Might look at the rest of the bantams at TSC tomorrow when I’m not so rushed. Watching the tiny cotton balls zipping around is addicting! We got silkies and a light Brahma. They’re great cuddlers so far, my biggest importance. Also don’t like that they only come straight run, but also want to hatch our own eggs…

Let me know how your Brahmas do! I know silkies will be too broody for me (although they are so stinkin cute!)
I have a light Brahma bantam and she’s just the sweetest girl! I love her! I have bantam breeds - Cochins, silkies, a mille fleur d’Uccles, the light Brahma, a Hedemora, and Olandsk dwarfs. They all get along super well. The Cochins, d’Uccles, Hedemora and the ODs are the more regular layers and none seem interested in brooding thus far. The silkies are lovely but don’t lay often and have been broody more than laying. I would say the Brahma, the Hedemora, and the d’Uccles are my more personable and friendly hens and all three are cold tolerant! I think d’Uccles might be tough in really snowy/muddy conditions though so I’d look at their similar cousin, the d’Anver. I have LF Ameraucanas and I adore them and bantams are just smaller versions so I would highly recommend them as well! I LOVE my Ameraucana boys, they’re my babies and like previous poster mentioned, I have 4 roosters and they all get along fine. They are great roosters.
