Our entire yard is soggy lol

Added a bit of pine for now. A rework is in the works but we have to wait for the rain to stop lol four days last week and three this... April showers lol

Looks like our back garden! Mud and standing water everywhere. We've had record rain for the last 18 months. It's driving me insane

There were two more eggs I'd added 4 days after the original batch of 3 as Martha wasn't being faithful on the nest, and I wasn't sure the first bunch were viable.

MAGNIFICENT MARTHA continued to brood the other two eggs. And they hatched today!

5 Yr old Gladys decided to lay an egg this morning. Her first since 27th June last year. She must have been saving them up as it's a whopper

It has turned our fairly nicely smelling backyard into yucky mush... Ug! Lol

Made chick doors for the outsiders. Had a few pecks, and not from the ones I was expecting - but babies can escape and mingle more


Annnnnd after just breaking one hen (took six days) our Mama may decide to go broody again...(who has been broody twice before, this would be third, she's a year old)
