What is your favorite breed of dog?

My favorite is the one that barks and wags its tail and is a canine. So ALL of them. I've not met one I didn't like.

By far collies - both regular and border collies. I just adore their personalities, and they're so intelligent! Most of my favorite dogs have collie somewhere in their family tree.
Other than that, I like Dobermans, Pitbulls and sighthounds. Not necessarily sure I'd like to own any myself, but in my experiences they are lovely, personable dogs when properly socialized.

Shelties. I grew up with 3 (best friends and babysitters a kid could ask for)
I have a 2 yr old now. Her litter was advertised as "farm shelties." Her dad is a working stock dog and mom is a full time kid wrangler. She's been wonderful.
I've also had Akita mixes and a few other mixed breeds. Mutts are awesome too.
We're welcoming an english mastiff to the family next month. Super excited to have another BIG dog in the house.

Boston Terriers. Here's why I love them:

• Adorable and goofy
• Super expressive eyes and ears
• Friendly to everyone
• Relatively quiet (minus the snorting)
• Love to sleep under the covers and snuggle with their owners
• Soft, super short fur
• Low maintenance
• "Odorless" (they smell so good!)
• Perfect small size (not so big that they can't go anywhere with me, and not so small that I'll step on them)
• Not overly hyper
• More athletic than other bulldog breeds
• Obedient and not hard to train

I probably missed some.

I would say saint Bernard's or mix mutt because mixed ones are always the best....for what ever reason but I love my saint to I will be lost without her someday

I'll admit it, I'm a cat person. But I love love LOVE Corgis (any kind).
We "inherited" by brother's dog Hank at Christmas though (he was sneaking eggs out of the chicken house and my brother, being a homesteader, can't allow that). Hank is a huge doofus and we love him. He *seems* to be part shepherd, pit bull, lab (maybe?), and 100% goofball. Here's a picture!

Hands down, Pitbull-type dogs. We have 2, love them to bits!
