wild goose thread...

Everyone here has such lovely geese.
I don't have any wild geese right now but a pair or two of Red Breasted Geese
are on my wish list.
So far I've only ran across two sellers, I will Definitely be saving up, I couldn't
Believe how expensive they are!

I fond a snow goose the other day it's wing was shot and now can't fly. So I was wondering how do you tell the sex of snow geese? And can you by them from breeders?

Vent sexing is one way but you'd need to go to you tube for videos, not that easy with adults. and if you can post some pics there are a few on here who can sex pretty easily. I looked at Strombergs to see if they sell Snow geese and didn't see any, you may have to have a license to have them. How is it doing? any infection in the wing?

i know this is an old thread but i was wonmdering if permits were necesary for keeping most of those seeing how they are native species ?
