Nice article. I did not think about having oats, or any food, to absorb the liquid, to keep wattles dry. I will look at other similar products to try to find electrolytes without the dyes Yellow 6 & Red 40.
This is some great advice. I live in a place of extremes as well, and it's tough on chickens. The chunks of ice are a real lifesaver in the summer, for sure.
