Welcome to Houseboat Hens! Our journey started about a year ago when my two boys (ages 2 and 3 now) hatched some eggs they recieved for a birthday present. We live in Fort Myers in a residential neighborhood and currently have 5 hens that keep us and some family and friends in fresh eggs. We recently have added 2 EE chicks who will be allowed to run with the rest in a several weeks.
How it all began...
The run!
Our label for eggs we give away.
The coop that dad built.
Recently we have added two ducks to the family who free range in our yard and assist us with pest control and fertilizing the lawn. Frick and Frack as they are affectionally called also enjoy spending time in the garden!
