This is exactly what I've been looking for! Something inexpensive and simple rather than hanging 2"x2" avian netting or the 6"x6" hawk stopper netting.

@BYCforlife - can you give an update on how this has worked for you or if you've changed anything? Thank you!

It's still working! I haven't had any hawk attacks in the 5 or so years since I started using the twine. I haven't changed anything, but I do make sure to only tie the twine to the posts like in the first picture, It's much better looking and just as effective.
