Absolutely brilliant and very VERY true ! Have experienced the same (apart from roosters - we're in a village and can't see the neighbours ever accepting one lol). Ours love digging out all the pebbles and gravel from around the patio edges and covering the whole patio in walking and slipping hazards...........

Article a great help and reassurance thanks ! Have a gorgeous Cream LegBar (called Lexy) who's one minute showing she's about to, then next she stops any interest ! Comb has been very very slowly growing and getting redder, then paler but she's now eating loads, become tamer, and does the famous wings out squat when we reach for a stroke - we can't wait for our first blue egg ( no matter how small - bless her !) but she's being very frustrating lol !!
