A good start! I'm sure one will see the need for additional ventilation and protection from predators. As an example, a window won't cut it for ventilation . Good ventilation is passive and always open . This is something I would perhaps consider using to house chicks away from the adults, but only in the confines of a fully enclosed run.

In my opinion I think this would make a great brooder, with more ventalation added. As for adult chickens, they would be a little crammed unless there are only like 2 in there. But it is very strongly built it looks like.
