Instructions
These instructions are intended to make it easier for you to get your information into the breeder directory in a manner that you would like it displayed.
Only BYC Members with a Valid UserID are allowed to post here.
This a two part process, first you enter basic data about yourself and then you enter the breeds that you sell.
The Breeder Directories will be updated weekly. The link to enter your data is at the bottom of this post.
1. Enter your BYC UserID exactly as you did for BYC. There’s no error checking at this stage and this is used to construct a link to allow the reader of the directory to PM you on BYC. See A below. Invalid UserIDs will be removed from the list prior to posting.
2. This is a free form multi-line text field. Enter the data here as you would like it to appear under your user name. See red box below. Note: If you breed something other than chickens, ducks, quail, geese, pheasants and partridge, or pigeons and doves. Be as descriptive as you can on the color variety of your birds here.
3. This is the line that appears after the box above. Check all that apply.
4-6. Are used to construct the following line.
7. Optional: Is to give the viewer something to use in google maps to see how close you are to them.
8. This is used to determine what question to ask next. If you’re located in one of the countries listed, the next button (9) will take you to a page with a drop down list similar to the following picture. If you’re not in one of those countries, enter your country in the other line. When you click next you’ll bypass the next page and move to the thank you page.
10. Select your State, Country or province and then click Next (11) and you’ll be directed to the following page.
12. Click Submit and you’ll be taken to the confirmation page below.
13. Click the link to enter information about your breeds. This takes you to the second step in the process. Failure to do this will preclude you from being listed on the “By Breed” Directory.
This next step is an iterative process for each breed you wish to be listed under in the “By Breed” Directory. You’ll complete these steps for each breed.
14. Enter your BYC UserID exactly as you did for BYC. There’s no error checking at this stage and this is used to connect to the record you created in the first process. Invalid UserIDs will be removed from the list prior to posting.
15. Select the type breed here and click Next (16). For chickens, ducks, quail, geese, pheasants & partridge, and pigeons & doves you will be directed to a page to add additional clarity for breed. For all other breed types you’ll be directed to the thank you page.
17. Select your breed, type, variety, etc and click next (18)
19. Click on Submit
20. To Add another breed to your profile, click the link “Submit another response.” If not, then just exit google forms.
Breeds are based upon US standard breeds. If you have a standard breed in your country that is not listed here, contact us and we’ll add it to the list. We only add recognized standard breeds, if you have something non-standard, you should list it in (2) above.
