Chicken Math 101 – with Quiz!

Haha! True!
Finally....the clear explanation of chicken math (advanced).....the formulas offer the clarification details missing from most other articles on chicken math. :th I have no chickens yet....just a newbie....but with your concise explanation I passed the Quiz with 7 correct.....yes, I'm walking tall! :celebrate Thanks for this.....now I will go reevaluate my chicken order.
As a beginner to keeping backyard chickens, I found this article extremely helpful. Reading this made me more competent in counting my flock (technically, I’ve 0 because all of my chickens have names, thus I also have room for a lot more chickens), and it also gave me the knowledge I needed to explain to my spouse why I need more chickens. The quiz at the end was super helpful and easy for me, but my spouse is still having trouble with it and needs to keep studying.
I need to share, study and re-read ! Because I think I dont even have a flock...so I may be able to rush and get a bunch of fluffy chicks ASAP !
My chicken math skills are awesome! Always looking for more

"Real" Chicken Science at least...
I needed a good laugh and this provided it. When people ask me how many chickens I have, they are shocked no matter what I say so I break it up into 1 rooster 2 cockerels, 7 pullets etc. That was they are too confused to comment.

Excellent strategy! Hope it works on the significant other as well! :)
This is easily worth more stars than just 5. It's basically going to help me triple my flock size. :D
This is so perfect! Lots of laughs! I think I only have three chickens!
This gave me such a good laugh I had to show my husband who is now grumbling about chicken math to himself. I received 5 extras with my last order so I’m counting those as gift chickens they don’t count for total right lol.

That sounds to me like the good lord wanted you to have those. ;) Who are we mortals to deny his grace?!?!
Brilliant!
100% true Chicken math presented ;).
If the first of a breed is named then that doesn’t count as a chicken therefore it can only be the first unnamed of a breed. I was afraid my flock was too big for a moment there!
Very fun and informative. :thumbsup
