Hey, there! My name is Andrea Lynch and I live in Spring Branch, TX about 20 miles North of San Antonio. I have 3 kids that drive me crazy on a daily basis but I love them regardless! The oldest is Erik (9), then Nathan (5), and my precious daughter, Samantha (3). My husband, Joshua, thinks I'm nutso with the whole chicken thing. But I think anyone that's into chickens as much as I am is accused of being a tad bit crazy by many of their own friends and family.

I have built my own incubator/hatcher that's already been proven by hatching out 3 separate sets of eggs. I still plan on sharing my own "how-to" when I get around to it ;) I also plan to share pics of our chicken coop/garden shed.

I put the horse before the cart by getting my birds first. How else would I have been able to get my chicken coop? It certainly inspired my husband!

I am also currently getting started on peafowl. I was recently given 2 Spalding peachicks and 6 eggs from a very kind woman I met on Craigslist. So far, it looks like 5 of the 6 eggs are growing. Two more weeks to go before I find out if I'm going to have more peachicks running around. I'm learning quick that peafowl are nothing like chickens!!! If you want to look into peafowl, please join www.peafowl.org . There is so much helpful information there!

I will continue to update my page as time permits. Busy mommy, you know? ;)
