Our coop is a chicken wagon I designed and my husband built. We wanted it to be an open air coop so we built a small scale Woods style coop. It's 4 feet wide, 12 feet long and 5.5 feet tall at the tallest point. The three nest boxes are accessible from the outside. We have 8 Rhode Island Red chicks in the brooder and this will be their new home.
We started with an old wagon we had back in our woods.
We built a floor.
Next came the walls.
We mounted the walls to the wagon.
It has a metal roof.
Both ends open up for easy cleaning.
Plexiglass with weatherstripping will cover all of the windows except the front one in the winter. The plexiglass will be held in place with window screen clips.
All hooked up and ready to move into position.
In position next to the run (12' x 20') that will be covered with hardware cloth and 2 x 3 mesh fence.

They finally ventured out onto the bridge.
Down the ramp! Slipping and sliding so we're going to have to fix that.
