Well the coop is ready and the chicks are here. A couple of them are starting to alreadly look likes hens and hopefully not roosters. I got (2) Blue Cochins, (2) Dark Bantams and (2) Americanas. I can already tell that one of the Dark Bantams is going to be the one on the top because everytime I put my hand in the box it comes right to me and pecks and eats right out of my hand. My trusty Lab "Molly" is not quite sure of them but she is protecting them for sure. I look forward to the day that we get them out of the second garage and into the coop where they will sure be living like queens.
I got the roof on the Coop yesterday before the rain came today and added a few extra touches with an extension of a pressure treated rafters for the corregated roofing and a couple of vine beams for the future grape vine.
