Going into this article I was absolutely fawning over the pictures! Your hens and your coop is so cute, but where's the story? How did you build it? What does the exterior look like? You've left me with so many questions!! (And some inspiration, of course.)

The story is I used to be afraid of birds but then decided I really wanted fresh eggs and got chicks and raised them and now love being a chicken mama. My boyfriend is a handyman and we watched videos and looked up on what others said was the best ways to make things easy when building and raising chickens and then my boyfriend just started building with no plans and things keep changing as new ideas came in for us. It is a 14 ft x 5 ft very sturdy coop. I'm not a builder so I can't give many details.
I love things to be neat and clean and I heard this is pretty difficult with chickens but I love to decorate and I took on the challenge of decorating it so it would be cute yet comfortable for the girls. I take a lot of time with them and clean 2-3 times a day to keep it up but honestly other then the poop on the sand it is pretty is to keep up.
I never knew how fun it could be raising and watching them go about and enjoy their days, and for us we find it very amusing and relaxing , each day is different and we continue to learn more and more. We are now looking forward to having some fresh eggs soon.

There's no "meat" here - just a single picture tease. It looks almost like a magazine set-up where a chicken has never ... and probably never will ... set foot or feather. Still, it peaks the curiosity. I'd LOVE to see more ... better yet, see more pictures and get a backstory to go along with them.
Please?

No meat? These girls are for eggs not to be eaten. I have six chickens, my boyfriend built the coop I decorated it. I clean my coop 2-3 times a day. I have posted other pictures of the inside the outside and of the chickens. The chickens are 19 weeks old I just opened the nesting boxes last weekend, they also have free range of the yard. The picture was to show the nesting boxes. There are many more pictures in the gallery and coop sections of my set up and birds.

If the outside of this coop is as nice looking as the inside, I'd like to see it!

The outside is kept clean also. I'm outside cleaning as well as inside to keep things looking kept up. They poop yes and I have sand and gravel which is super easy for clean up

It's their own Boutique :) Too bad we can't litter box train tour chickens. Who ever comes up with that technique will be rich and make millions happy! lol.
