Cluckingham Palace was made by my wonderful boyfriend(City Farmer Jim) from a free HomeDepot plan. It is 32 square feet and has three nesting boxes and a "pull it shut" door with a light sensitive timer to open and close..
There are two run/ forage areas separated by gate. The girls stay near coop until noon. Then are allowed in the "tall cotton" in afternoon until dusk. They love the tall grass and have many hidden trails and a lime tree to hide under. Tree is just not in picture. I think about 800 sq ft. and kayak for cover. Not sure of area around the coop and chunnel. The cinder blocks usually have herbs or foraging plants in the holes. Will post new pics of that when plants arrive in area. I think it is a pretty good size area as well.
All this for ten usually very happy ladies. 2 Barred Rocks, 2 Silver Lace Wyandottes, 2 Gold Lace Wyandottes, 2 Buff Ophingtons, and 2 Blue Lace Wyandottes.
