Ingredients:


1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. white sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 stick butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. slightly toasted pecans

Cooking Instructions


Mix all ingredients except vanilla in a medium sized boiler. Cook over low heat until mixture reaches the soft ball stage (236° F) on a candy thermometer. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. When mixture reaches soft ball stage,remove from heat, add vanilla, and beat until mixture starts to thicken. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper. Let cool until set. Store in airtight container.
