Breed Details:
These are beautiful ornamental/show ducks with a big pouf of feathers (crest) on the top of the head. Most people (myself included) breed for crest size. The males weigh up to 6 pounds, females weigh around 5 pounds. There is a controversy as to whether they are called Crested White Ducks or Crested Pekins. They are very good layers of large white eggs. They have great personalities, are very intelligent and can be trained to do tricks. I had a couple pet drakes that would give me hugs (kind of like eskimo kisses).
