Please excuse the fact that I have no fancy page. I am by no means HTML literate, so I will try my best. I will kindly accept donations of time, tears, and web design if someone gets bored!
So, let me tell you about me. I am an outgoing, opinionated, stubborn, laughable, goofy girl who has more pets than common sense. I just started getting into chickens, and I am obsessed. Like, this fits up there with chocolate, fresh made ice cream, and the smell of horses. I live in central NC, but I am originally from the beach. The Outer Banks to be exact. So obviously I LOVE seafood, hate sand, and desperately miss the smell and sound of the ocean. Unfortunately, beach life is not very condusive to farm life; I can't run around smearing sunblock on all the animals all day long.
I currently run a small zoo (not really, it just feels like it). Between my boyfriend and I, we have:
4 dogs (Bloodhound, Mini Aussie, Rat Terrier, and a Pit Bull), 1 cat who thinks he is a Puma, 1 Bearded Dragon, 1 Black and White Tegu, 1 Water Monitor that really isn't friendly, 15-20 Ball Pythons, 1 very pregnant and pissy Red Tailed Boa, and my newest children: 3 Black Australorps, 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 White Leghorns, 4 Golden Sexlinks, and 4 Americaunas. And a newly added duckling who swears I am mommy and insists on screaming for me all day long. Oh yeah, I think I might be getting Aracauna chicks here soon too, so I am pretty much overrun by animals.
Whew. Thats pretty much me in a nut shell. Most of my waking time is spent feeding some sort of animal and cleaning up poop. Fun huh?!? But, I wouldn't change it for the world!!!
