D'uccles are the first bantams i have ever owned and i love them.For anyone interested in them I would like to share some information on them and other bantam breeds similar to them.

They are very similar to D'uccles but are lacking beards and muffs.They are feather legged and vulture hocked.Large wattles non bearded. Does not have a bull neck. Medium single comb with 5 points.Tail is long and erect carried at a 75 degree angle.Layer of creamy white eggs. 22-26 ounces.U shape between tail and neck.More than 20 varieties.

True bantam. Bearded with tiny to non existint wattles.Bred for exibition in Britin and on the continent.
22-26 ounces.Long erect tail carried at a 75 degree angle in males and 65 in females. Males are often aggressive towards people.Rose comb with spike.No falcon hocks/vulture hocks.Dark slate or bluish slate legs except in cuckoo which have bluish white legs.Non feather legged.Layer of creamy white eggs.

They are a true bantam(they don't have a large version).They are bearded, muffed, and feather footed.Unlike most breeds they have vulture hocks/falcon hocks, long somewhat stiff feathers located in the hock joint area.Blue legs,feet, and shanks. Mine have always been very friendly, but all birds are different.
They are single combed five points.Many females will have more than 5 points.Males can end up with more than 5 points as well but more common in females.In the show ring a point is usauly taken off for each extra point. They are supposed to be 22-32 ounces depending on the show the judges and various other factors.They are also required to have bull necks. They are a layer of small to white medium small white to creamy beige.There tails are long and erect. Males are carried at an angle of 75 degrees, the females is carried at an angle of 70 degrees.Small or non existent wattles.Should have feathers carried out to the middle toe or farther.
