Discarded pallets, corrugated iron roof, floorboards and bookshelves. All found in the street, with friends or online.
About $100 (Australian) on hardware supplies and the help of some good friends!

A car full of old floor boards and hardwood.

A basic shape out of the pallets..
Bookshelves that a neighbour had thrown out.
    The nesting wing taking shape
    [IMG]
Corrugated iron walls on the upstairs level
    [IMG]
A bit rough but the roof taking shape

The roosting bar was an old curtain rail (I think)

A bit of decking oil to protect it from the rain...
Needed some timber on the roof until we secured it

    Home sweet home

Hanging out near the front door

Loving the roost. They march up every night and sleep. The only new things we bought were the nesting boxes.

    Strolling the grounds

Good use of the back of the yard.....Hey! Get off the fence! They stay in now the wings are clipped.
