I hatched out 5 Isbar chicks from my incubator over the weekend into Monday and today I came home to find my broody hen with one chick out of three eggs I gave her. Maybe still hold out some hope for the other two eggs under her? Anyways, yesterday, I took the chicks out of the incubator and put them into the brooder. This evening when I got home from work and found her with a chick under her I thought this would be the perfect time to put the incubator hatched chicks under her and I slipped them under her one at a time over about 20 minutes with a few minutes between them walking back and forth to the brooder. She just tucked them right under her!
I checked her again a couple of hours later and she was a happy hen with all the babies underneath her. So far so good!
