. First off, thank you BYC for all the useful information. After researching, googling, asking around and a lot of butt scratching we fininally deceided on a coup design. Since we live in a very rural area with lots of farms, the barn sytle coup really caught our eyes. We decieded on a medium size coup painted barn green trimmed in white with green shingles and topped off with sky lights and decorative feed signs. Although the sky light windows do not add any funtionality, they do provide a delightful surprise when approarching the coup at roosting time. Now that coup design was out of the way it was time for the chickens
