I like how you addressed the "snake myths" with facts. Me and my family do kill all snakes because my dad hates them, but we do have a mouse problem because of it... I would try to get him to read this article but I don't think it would work.

This is an awesome and we'll written article!!! I myself have had quite a lot of black snake hatchings hanging around in my aviary but I always relocate them because I refuse to kill a snake! The rat snakes in my area have pretty much taken care of my rodent problem around my coop and aviary and they're such awesome little creatures!

I always encourage snakes to live in my property because they're the best solution to rodent problems.

Also, I hate to take a dig at a certain demographic (the ones statistically most likely to be bitten) but chopping up any defenseless animal with a shovel doesn't make up for what you're lacking
