This is good information for someone wanting a healthy way to feed herbs/spices to their chickens.

I do make oatmeal as a treat once in a while in the winter.

Oatmeal is a treat and should not be feed daily. It doesn not keep birds warmer.

I really enjoyed this and am excited to make oatmeal for my flock.
