Growanstede (which means, simply, 'Growing Place' in Olde English) is our home in southeastern Wisconsin. We are settled in a close suburb of Milwaukee, and our young family is slowly working towards getting the most out of our small city lot. We recently succeeded in getting our local ordinances changed in favor of backyard microflocks, and have also last year obtained an English Angora rabbit for fibre production. Our garden grows in size each year, and we have some heavy yard modification to undergo (as well as some home upgrades) to make our house the perfect home.

Our young family currently consists of myself, my precocious seven-year-old daughter, my adventurous four-year-old son, Dash (our Cardigan Welsh Corgi), Monster (our cat), Wendy (our English Angora), and now HENS and DUCKS! We've added Georgie, Mrs. Oliver, Cow, and Herman (Speckled Sussex Hens); and Jack and Jill, two Muscovie Ducks!
