[FONT=georgia,palatino]I started with 5 Buff Orpingtons chicks. I just started to build my coop and run. The coop and run is a lean to style that is 7' x 8'. The coop is 32" x 7' and sits about 30" above the east end of the run. I made this coop and run out of a old softball dugout. 
The roof, 4x4, and some of the 2x4s came from the dugout. I bought the frame new and the headers for the roof. I get 2x4s and plywood from work. The door came from an old house. I have tried to use alot of recycled material to keep cost down. The coop and run are finished.
I just added the nesting boxes last week.
